Edmund G. Ross: A Man of Courage tells the inspiring story of a man with a deep commitment to freedom and justice. Ross was dedicated to the preservation of American democracy and was best known as the senator from Kansas whose decisive vote thwarted the impeachment of President Andrew Johnson saving the union of states. Ross set an example of honor and conviction throughout his entire life. During the Civil War, he served as a Union captain in the Eleventh Kansas Regiment and later was appointed by President Grover Cleveland to be the first governor of the Territory of New Mexico.
